Foodbank debuts storytelling video

As part of the "Fight Hunger. Spark Change." campaign, the Foodbank received a grant to help expand our storytelling efforts and increase awareness of food insecurity locally and nationally. This video was debuted at a campaign kick-off event on Saturday, April 27 at Walmart (2760 N Dirksen Pkwy, Springfield).

Another campaign event will be held at Sam's Club (2300 W. White Oaks Drive, Springfield) from 12pm-2pm on Friday, May 10. The event will feature a visual representation of hunger, our mobile kitchen cart and another showing of the video.

Now in its sixth year, the “Fight Hunger. Spark Change.” campaign has raised nearly $75 million to fight hunger. Locally, this campaign has raised over $300,000 for Central Illinois Foodbank. This year’s campaign will run from April 22 – May 20 at all Walmart and Sam’s Clubs stores. Customers are able to support the campaign by purchasing participating products, donating at the register or donating online.
