Fight Hunger. Spark Change.

Food insecurity is an issue facing families in communities across the country, and according to the USDA, one in eight Americans currently struggles with hunger at some point during the year. Walmart, Sam’s Club, Feeding America and member food banks are committed to providing meals to people, and with the sixth annual nationwide “Fight Hunger. Spark Change.” campaign, we’re calling on customers and suppliers to join us in helping support people struggling with hunger.

As part of this campaign, the Foodbank received a grant to help expand our storytelling efforts and increase awareness of food insecurity locally and nationally. Now in its sixth year, the “Fight Hunger. Spark Change.” campaign has raised nearly $75 million to fight hunger. Locally, this campaign has raised over $300,000 for Central Illinois Foodbank. This year’s campaign will run from April 22 – May 20 at all Walmart and Sam’s Clubs stores. Customers are able to support the campaign by purchasing participating products, donating at the register or donating online.

As food travels on its journey from the grocery store to someone’s plate, there are many people who help it reach its destination.

Every meal has a story.
