Foodbank provides groceries to families during spring break

The Foodbank is partnering with Springfield Public Schools - District 186 to provide basic groceries for 500 families during spring break next week. These will be available for pick up on a first come, first served basis.

  • Tuesday, April 7: Addams Elementary, 10am - 12 Noon
  • Wednesday, April 8: Washington Middle School, 10am - 12 Noon
  • Thursday, April 9: Starbucks at 3412 Freedom Drive, 10am - 12 Noon

On Friday, April 3, at all Springfield Public Schools - District 186 meal distribution sites, those who drive up will receive a punch card while supplies last.

The punch cards will be good for a free breakfast and lunch from any Springfield McDonald’s location on the weekdays of our Spring Break Monday, April 6, through Friday, April 10 and on Monday, April 13, during the hours of 10 AM to 2 PM. Families must present the cards each time to receive meals. They will receive both a bagged breakfast and lunch via drive thru or carry out.
