Purpose
Responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks associated with the acquisition, storage, and distribution of food products, including loading and unloading deliveries, picking orders, operating warehouse equipment, and cleaning and general maintenance.
General

Performance Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of warehouse duties, including loading and unloading deliveries, general maintenance, and janitorial duties in the warehouse, and common areas and grounds.
- Accurately picking orders (not barcoded).
- Assist in unloading and loading products from/onto trucks; assure accuracy of quantity as well as quality of deliverables; place products in assigned storage bins or warehouse areas.
- Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and other equipment within the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner.
- Follow safe food handling guidelines.
- Assist in the daily operation of the warehouse and other related activities as required or as assigned by Lead Warehouse Worker.
- Work to uphold the positive image of the Foodbank.
- Provide supervision to warehouse volunteers as appropriate.
- Work with Operations staff to insure that all regulatory requirements are met including Public Health, USDA, Feeding America and AIB standards.
- Make accurate counts on inventory, receiving, and distribution of food.
- Treat staff, volunteers, and agencies with respect and courtesy.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Job Knowledge:
- Must possess basic mathematical/measurement skills and reading skills.
Special Position Requirements and Preferences
- Willingness to pursue certification and sanitation requirements.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; warehouse is heated but not air conditioned; all-day multi-lifting.

Partner Resource Coordinator

Purpose
Communicates, provides support and collaborates with partners throughout Central Illinois Foodbank’s service area. Assists partners in identifying, coordinating processes and programs that help them improve efficiency of food distribution, encourage participation in food access projects, build agency capacity and increase food security.

Performance Responsibilities
- Work with partners to develop and cultivate relationships to create or sustain initiatives that increase access to nutritious food
- Oversee implementation of special projects such as Kids Cafe, Drive thru distributions, agency segmentation, and food drive events
- Encourage agencies to think creatively about the changing needs of their community and share best practices
- Work with various government funded feeding programs, understanding the need to track and provide accurate and timely data
- Communicate Foodbank policies and procedures to current and potential partners and organizations
- Represent the Foodbank at identified network or region-wide food access/community meetings
- Work closely with other Foodbank departments that interface with partners to ensure effective and efficient coordination to foster organizational and public awareness
- Stay informed about Feeding America programs, including programs run by the Foodbank
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in human services, communications, or related field
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, customer relations skills, public speaking skills, mathematical and business skills, and organizational and planning skills required
- Ability to interpret and enforce regulations in an accurate, consistent and timely manner

Performance Responsibilities
Direct Assistance to Executive Director
- Prepare materials for Board Meetings.
- Assistant to ED.
- Assists Executive Director with managing development needs of the organization as outlined below.
Development/Fundraising
- Participate in all aspects of development, including foundation and corporate fundraising, monthly giving, direct mail campaigns, etc.
- Work in cooperation with identified direct mail company to implement direct mail campaign.
- Assist in the research, preparation, and reporting of funding proposals/grants.
- Manage application deadlines and annual schedule as assigned.
Donor Relations
- Communicate with donors and accommodate their needs on an individual basis.
- Prepare, print and distribute all thank-you and acknowledgement letters for individuals, corporations, foundations and organizations.
- Ensure timely reminders, thank-you letters, and other written and verbal communication/recognition to individual donors, sponsors and fundraising volunteers.
- Donor database management
- Work with Finance Director to ensure accuracy of gift receipts, donor information, etc.
- Collect, track, and analyze data as it relates to fundraising activities.
- Prepare internal and external donation reports as requested.
- May assist in event planning in the future.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 3 years experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Prefer experience in donor database management (Donor Perfect).

Food Sourcing Manager

Reports to: Program Manager
Purpose
Formulates strategies, develops and implements a work plan to solicit food and products from food industry to meet the distribution needs of the Foodbank’s partners. Responsible for the development, retention and enhancement of food donations, government food sources, food drives and food purchases.

Performance Responsibilities
- Coordinate the growth and success of the food procurement program by means of solicitation, communication and engagement with retail, distributors and buyers to procure donated and purchased product that is in line with the Foodbank’s nutrition policy
- Work with Feeding Illinois State Director to secure foods that are consistent with the newly develop nutrition policy
- Manages ordering of TEFAP program and ensures accurate allocation and timely distribution of product
- Manages ordering and tracking of grant food purchases
- Coordinate the Agency Retail Pickup Program
- Manage Meal Connect (software for agency enabled pickup)
- Responsible for the growth and success of the food drive program
- Monitors Choice System
- Collaborate with operations staff to make the most efficient use of transportation and other logistics needed for handling donations
- Establish a schedule for regular visitation to retail donors
- Executes donor tracking, reporting and acknowledgments, including blue receipt reporting
- Maintains documentation and reports on purchases and needs to support operational goals
- Develops and maintain donor recognition program for major food donors
- Complete accurate monthly reports and for staff, management, and Feeding America
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 3 years of experience preferred
- Prefer prior computerized inventory experience
