Last fiscal year, we distributed 10.3 million pounds of food, the equivalent of approximately 8.6 million meals. From March through July 2020, we distributed nearly a million more pounds of food than was distributed the same time the previous year. This is equivalent to approximately 833,000 meals. With the increase and need for food, we creatively look for food sourcing opportunities that allow physical distancing and help us in the fight against hunger.

How can you help?

Host a drive-thru food drive or no contact food drive to benefit Central Illinois Foodbank. You can help our neighbors in need by collecting non-perishable food items or non-food items.

How does it work?

Plan a drive.

Host a drive-thru food drive or no contact food drive to benefit Central Illinois Foodbank. This method allows physical distancing to be practiced keeping donors and volunteers safe, and still help us identify new sources of food as the need increases.

Register your food drive.

Complete and submit the online registration form to the Foodbank. The Foodbank is unable to have a physical presence at your food drive at this time but we are here to assist you in hosting a successful and safe food drive.

Promote your food drive.

When promoting your food drive, please indicate that the food drive is to benefit Central Illinois Foodbank. Please contact us to secure proper listings prior to producing any promotional material that acknowledges Central Illinois Foodbank.
